Objective:
1. To identify key virulence genes responsible for HLB. 2. To develop a high through-put in vitro screen system to identify effective antimicrobial compounds. 3. To evaluate the effects of selected antimicrobial compounds through greenhouse in planta and field experiments.

Approach:
We will take an integrated approach to analyze key virulence genes of the Huanglongbing (HLB) pathogen. We will design a high-throughput anti-microbial screening system to characterize the effect of antimicrobial compounds and develop a practical control method to mitigate HLB.
