Research Project: Therapeutic Management of Pecan Bacterial Leaf Scorch Using Carbon Nanotubes

Location: Crop Germplasm Research

Project Number: 3091-21000-042-03-N
Project Type: Non-Funded Cooperative Agreement

Start Date: Mar 1, 2017
End Date: Feb 28, 2019

Objective:
Identify novel methods for eliminating or reducing bacterial titer in plant material, testing use of carbon nanotubes (CNT) as therapeutic management of Pecan Bacterial Leaf Scorch caused by Xylella fastidiosa.

Approach:
Refine methods of quantitative real-time PCR (RT-qPCR) for use in pecan working from the base established by recent unpublished work.
