Objective:
To obtain information at the field scale of soil salinity, important soil properties, and ion composition to enable improved management for control of salinity and toxic ions.

Approach:
To conduct laboratory and field research as needed to determine the suitability of hand held sensors to measure soil texture, clay type and ion composition to complement existing remote sensing salinity techniques. Documents NACA with University of California Riverside.
