This NFCA is to formalize a relationship between the Diet, Genomics and Immunology Laboratory (DGIL), BHNRC and SCU. The two institutes share an interest in food and chronic disease prevention. The objectives are 1) To conduct collaborative research related to diet, food-derived bioactives and chronic diseases prevention; 2) To train students and faculties from SCU on related technologies; and 3) To develop collaborative projects between ARS scientist and SCU scientist.
1) SCU will send students and faculty to USDA-ARS to work with ARS scientist on USDA-ARS project or bilateral project; 2) USDA-ARS scientist will serve as mentor and/or collaborator for SCU scientist and student; and 3) USDA-ARS will send ARS scientist to visit SCU to promote the bilateral project.
