Objective:
The project involves evaluating the occupation of soybean nodules by different strains of Bradyrhizobium using DNA sequencing. The overall study is to evaluate competition and survivability of different strains of Bradyrhizobium in soils of different geographic regions in the United States and in Africa and to see how the soybean genotypes (cultivar) grown in different geographic locations influence the Bradyrhizobium populations.

Approach:
The project involves evaluating the occupation of soybean nodules by different strains of Bradyrhizobium using DNA sequencing. The cooperator will provide soybean nodules and environmental soil samples for DNA sequencing. The NEA will provide DNA sequencing to evaluate the occupation of soybean nodules by different strains of Bradyrhizobium.
