Objective:
The objectives of this cooperative research and education project are to develop more sustainable and profitable approaches to forage and ruminant livestock production, provide educational opportunities for students enrolled in an agricultural and pre-professional undergraduate programs, expose students to science and agricultural research, and promote collaborative research of ARS and Cooperator faculty.

Approach:
New approaches to forage livestock systems will be envisioned and jointly evaluated in laboratory and field research. ARS will facilitate educational opportunites in livestock and forage management for students enrolled in an agricultural undergraduate program by lending expertise and sharing access to facilities and land, and exposing students to science and agricultural research.
