Research Project: MOU between USDA/ARS, USDA/NIFA, and Dairy Management Inc.

Location: Nutrition, Food Safety/Quality

Project Number: 0204-41510-001-059-M
Project Type: Memorandum of Understanding

Start Date: Dec 2, 2014
End Date: Dec 1, 2019

Objective:
The purpose of this MOU is to build upon the previous MOU between DMI and the USDA Agricultural Research Service (ARS), and to strengthen the collaborations among the Participants in areas of mutual interest through cooperative research programs and information exchanges.

Approach:
To this end, the Participants intend jointly to explore and coordinate research activities of mutual interest which are to be implemented by mutual understanding and in conformance with the regulations and policies of the Participants. The National Dairy Research Program (NDRP) was launched in 2007 by DMI to enhance domestic and global markets for U.S. dairy producers, manufacturers and importers through establishment of a coordinated and integrated NDRP that leverages the interests and capabilities of industry, government and academia. The NDRP was created to increase efficiencies, avoid duplication, and to create a more competitive dairy industry on an international basis.
