To foster the collaboration between Beltsville Human Nutrition Research Center (BHNRC) and the Department of Nutritional Sciences, Howard University (HU) by pooling strengths and resources to develop new knowledge and expertise and train the next generation of agricultural scientists.
This NFCA is to formalize and expand the relationship between BHNRC and the Cooperator, which share an interest in research and education, human nutrition, agriculture and related fields. The two institutions have different, but complementary research expertise and facilities, and their geographic proximity makes it feasible for BHNRC scientists to participate in HU graduate and undergraduate programs, by providing research and training opportunities in BHNRC labs to faculty and students of the Cooperator.
