The University of California and USDA-APHIS will develop diagnostic protocols for the emerging torradoviruses. The USDA-ARS-NGRL will validate these detection protocols and prepare a report on its observations and findings. The participation of NGRL and California Department of Food and Agriculture is at the request of USDA-APHIS to obtain additional scientific data to support a sound regulatory decision.
