Research Project: Exploitation of Visual Stimuli for Better Monitoring and Management of ACP in Young Citrus Plantings – Enhancement Funds

Location: Insect Behavior and Biocontrol Research

Project Number: 6036-22000-025-21-R
Project Type: Reimbursable Cooperative Agreement

Start Date: Nov 5, 2013
End Date: Jun 30, 2014

Objective:
To develop visual targets that optimize attraction of asian citrus psyllids.

Approach:
We will evaluate visual different factors relating to attractions (i.e. color contrast, polarization, background contrast, polarization, translucence) in laboratory and field studies to obtain the most attractive visual targets.
