The USDA, National Nutrient Database (NND) is widely recognized as the gold standard for food composition data. A Public Private Partnership has been initiated among the ATIP Foundation, the International Life Sciences Institute North America (ILSINA) and USDA, ARS to develop and maintain comprehensive, brand-name food composition data that will be made available to government, industry, and the scientific community to augment the NND.

Setup meetings involving potential user groups and contributors for the purpose of expanding the NND. The meetings will introduce the purpose and goals of the “Branded Food Products Database for Public Health”, public private partnership and gather input from stakeholders regarding current and potential usage and opinions on the addition of products and nutrients to the NND.
