Location: Range Management Research
Project Number: 3050-11210-007-20-A
Project Type: Cooperative Agreement
Start Date: Apr 15, 2013
End Date: Sep 30, 2017
The objective of this cooperative agreement is to promote scientific and academic cooperation between the USDA, Agricultural Research Service's research unit based at the Jornada Experimental Range (ARS) and Noisy Flowers, LLC based in Tucson, Arizona, USA. Cooperation activities include the design, development, and testing of mobile and web-based computer applications for collecting and sharing knowledge and information about sustainable land management.
Collaborative design and computer programming activities are integral components of current Jornada projects. Development of each system will begin with scoping and design prior to programming. The Jornada will then test the programs (including apps) prior to formal implementation and release. All results of this collaboration will become public. The majority of the collaboration will occur via phone and internet meetings, but we do anticipate at least one on-site meeting in Las Cruces and/or Tucson.
