Research Project: Drought, Heat, and Flood Tolerant Varieties for the Midwest and South: Building on Success (USB PROJECT 1420-532-5613)

Location: Soybean and Nitrogen Fixation Research

Project Number: 6070-21220-068-40-A
Project Type: Cooperative Agreement

Start Date: Jan 1, 2014
End Date: Nov 30, 2016

To develop high yielding drought tolerant cultivars adapted to South Carolina and other drought-prone U.S. environments.

A broad range of soybean germplasm will be screened for drought tolerance in the field. Also adapted drought tolerant breeding lines will be developed through empirical selection for seed yield under stress.
