The objectives of the agreement are to exchange information on food composition and dietary intake between ARS and EFSA. This information forms the basis for risk assessment by various agencies. Another objective is to exchange expertise in assessing dietary exposure by training or exchange of experts on spefici projects of mutual interest that may be identified.
Each agency will provide the other with data or methods used to collect those data upon mutual agreement. Short-term exchanges of personnel may be used to enhance capabilities in this area. Information exchanged by the agencies will be kept confidential, if appropriate, to the extent possible under the authority of each agency.
