Facilitate and promote research, development and transfer of technology related to soy-based products. Improve the coordination of crop utilization research with other areas of research such as plant physiology and production research, including genomics and proteomics. These objectives may be achieved by: 1. Assigning a point of contact from USB and from ARS for the MOU; 2. With guidance from the USDA Office of the Chief Economist, creating a vision of future demand for biobased products; 3. Conducting meetings to: o identify the best means to meet the objectives of the MOU, o focus research objectives; o identify resources to be applied to meet the objectives; and o review plans for, and subsequent performance of, all activities undertaken pursuant to this MOU.
Assign a point of contact from USB and from ARS; create a vision of future demand for bioased products; conduct meetings to identify the best means to meet the objectives, focus research objectives, identify resources to be applied to meet the objectives, and review plans for all activities to be undertaken. Each party will contribute to the development of improved or new industrial products from soybeans through appropriate means including joint funding of projects, program coordination, and developing mechanisms for sharing information, technical and physical resources to further the objectives of this agreement.
