Fort Keogh Events

The Fort Keogh Rangeland Beef Cattle Research Facility in Miles City has requested assistance from the engineering unit of the Montana National Guard in Miles City to assist in a road work project. The road improvement project is at no cost to Fort Keogh. Without the assistance of the National Guard, Fort Keogh would be unable to complete this improvement project as funds are not available to procure this service.

Any qualified organizations or private individuals interested in conducting the listed road repair service at no cost, who have questions or wish to object to the National Guard providing this service may contact Amy Bontrager, Administrative Office, USDA-ARS, Fort Keogh at 406-874-8239.

Scientists from US Dairy & Forage Research Center, USDA ARS facility in Madison, WI, join US Livestock and Range Research Laboratory scientists at Fort Keogh in taking a break and enjoying some Hamburgers made from Fort Keogh beef, raised on site through the cooperative agreement in place with the Montana Agricultural Experiment Station.  Scientists spent the day discussing projects and brainstorming how the work from the two sites could be mutually beneficial.  360° image
