The lab has garnered some press over the years. We present some highlights below, including articles written for the popular press by members of the lab.

In October 2019, Hannah won her session at Research and the State at Kansas State University, and it was covered in a news release:


In July 2019, Hannah wrote an EntomologyToday Blog post on the importance of taking care of our whole selves to maintain health and productivity. You can read it here:


In April 2019, Marco Ponce was featured on the front page of Kalamazoo College’s website for his outstanding accomplishment in his senior thesis and for winning an NSF Graduate Research Fellowship. You can read more here:

In 2019, Hannah Quellhorst was the featured graduate student on the K State Food Systems homepage.


In 2019, Rob was featured as a guest on the Arthro-Pod Show hosted by Jody Green and Jonathan Larson at University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He spoke at length about the wonderful work being done in the lab.

In 2019, Rob wrote an “ode to everyday outreach” for EntomologyToday, ESA’s regular blog. 


In 2018, Meredith Walker featured the research being conducted by Master’s student Rachel Wilkins on EntomologyToday. This is part of a NIFA-funded CPPM grant, which represents a collaboration between K State, the USDA, and Arkansas State. 


In 2018, Matt Hamblin, former undergraduate technician, made it on the cover of the K State Ag Report and cites his experiences in the Morrison Lab as formative.

In early 2018, Rachel made it as a finalist in the K State University-Wide 3-minute thesis competition. She was featured for her accomplishments in the K State Ag Report.
