Chloe Albin is an undergraduate chemical engineering student at Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS. Prior to joining the Stored Product Insects and Engineering Research Unit (SPIERU) at the USDA, she worked for the Department of Entomology at Kansas State where she assisted with research looking at the impacts of insecticide treated prey on brown recluse spiders and the impact of commercial pesticides on Kansas field crops. At the USDA, Chloe’s past research includes the potential repellency of cedarwood oil from a novel extraction method to stored product insects. She is currently working on evaluating attractants for natural enemies of stored product insects. After the completion of her undergraduate degree, she is interested in consultation or research within the food industry.
