RESEARCH INTERESTS

I have an interest in exploring the host-pathogen relationships in an evolutionary context, including: the plasticity in life-history strategies, immunological defenses and evasion, how behavior and mating is influenced by pathogens, as well as ecological/wildlife pathology. I am broadly interested in diseases that affect public health, and how climate change alters the ecology and evolution of infectious diseases, and conservation. I am passionate about public outreach as well as childhood STEAM education, and hope to to integrate our research in the local community.
