Christopher T Werle

Chris Werle is a native New Englander, and has degrees in Wildlife Ecology (UMaine), Entomology (U. Tennessee) and Horticulture, PhD.  (LSU). He has worked with the USDA since 2003, focusing on Formosan subterranean termites, pests and pollinators of small fruit crops, and pest management at ornamental nurseries. He has been a member of the Entomological Association of America since 2002, and gained Board Certification in 2010. In addition to research activities, he enjoys serving as a member of the Southeast Area’s Employee Engagement & Diversity Committee and the Unit’s EMS Committee, as well as participating in various outreach activities with local schools.
