Goals/purpose:
Declining funding for federal agencies is reducing their ability to lead watershed management projects. Private collaboratives, consisting of individuals and groups, can step up and lead watershed improvement (and other landscape improvement) efforts, but it is often difficult to form and sustain such efforts.
The homepage of FindACollaborative.org The goal of this project is to create a one-stop searchable map and database of all the collaborative groups and collaborative support organizations in the western US, see the homepage of FindACollaborative.org. Members of collaboratives can search across the region for other collaboratives, or groups with similar projects, to learn from each other, and solve common problems together. The map shows the impact and extent of participating collaborative efforts across the West.
