Areas of Responsibility

The Biological Sciences Technician is responsible for aiding the Geneticist/Laboratory Manager in the planning and implementation of experiments in molecular biology. The technician is responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment, inventory of supplies, and training of students and visiting scientists, as required. It is the technician's responsibility to keep daily records of work completed, and to evaluate established procedures, recommending changes where necessary.
