Guidance for Visitors and Contractors at the USDA Albany Location (Alameda County, California)

Effective April 12, 2022

This guidance applies to visitors and contractors conducting business with the following USDA agencies located at 800 Buchanan Street, Albany, CA:

Consistent with the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidance for COVID-19 Community Levels, USDA is establishing specific safety protocols for fully vaccinated individuals and not fully vaccinated individuals.

For the Albany Location, when Alameda County community transmission levels are High or Medium, all visitors (non-USDA employees) and contractors are required to complete the Certification of Vaccination form and keep it with them while at the Albany Location. We will not collect or copy your form; however you must have it available while you are on-site. If a visitor or contractor states they have not been vaccinated or declines to state their vaccination status, they must provide a negative COVID-19 test result done within the last three days. Failure to produce a negative test result means they will not be allowed into buildings at the USDA Albany Location campus.

It is the responsibility of the person who scheduled the visitor/contractor to verify that the visitor/contractor has completed the Certification of Vaccination form and if applicable has the required negative COVID-19 test result.

Delivery drivers or visitors/contractors who will not be entering any buildings while on-site do not need to complete the Certification of Vaccination form.

Please let me know if you have questions regarding this new guidance. Thank you very much for your support in ensuring that we comply with these new pandemic safety requirements.
