Rooftop Greenhouse at Western Regional Research Center

Notes

The spring wheat 'Butte 86' is grown in greenhouses under controlled temperature regimens with fertilizer (NPK) and water supplied by drip irrigation. After flowering, plants are subjected to different environmental regimens. Experiments to date have evaluated grain development under three temperature regimens (24/17°C, 37/17°C and 37/28°C days/nights), three levels of post-anthesis NPK, and well-watered and drought conditions.
