South Korean Rural Development Administration Rice Starch Improvement Project, September 2013 |
| Hong Kil Moon, of the South Korean Rural Development Administration (RDA) and stationed in the ARS Office of International Research Programs (OIRP) as the RDA-ARS (RAVL) Coordinator, reported a new RAVL project starting September 2013 on improving starch quality in rice. Dr. Areum Chun (National Institute of Crop Science of RDA), and Dr. Thomas H. Tai (ARS Crops Pathology and Genetics Research Unit, UC Davis) collaborated on the project. Funding from RDA was $60,000 per year for 3 years. |
