ARS’ Dr. Joan Lunney Named International Society for Animal Genetics Fellow, July 2017

Dr. Joan Lunney, Supervisory Research Scientist, ARS Animal Parasitic Diseases Lab (APDL), BARC, NEA, has been named an International Society of Animal Genetics (ISAG) Fellow. The award will be presented to Dr. Lunney on July 21, 2017 in Dublin Ireland at the 36th ISAG Meeting. The Fellow designation recognizes Dr. Lunney’s decades of service to ISAG organizing workshops, and her overall efforts supporting the (livestock) animal genetics industry. ISAG “supports efficient exchange of research ideas, results and applications by organizing conferences and workshops, by organizing comparison tests, by publishing its official journal, Animal Genetics, and numerous other activities.”
