Parasitologist

A parasitologist studies parasites. These organisms survive at the expense of another organism, the "host." Parasites come in many shapes and sizes, but only two general types. Ticks are “ectoparasites,” which feed outside their host. The nematodes and fungi in the story are “endoparasites;” they feed inside their host, the tick.
