|Pathogen Modeling Program Version 7.0 - Features
PMP7.0 represents a new direction from a programming perspective, in that it utilizes the new Microsoft.Net programming architecture. Although this has taken an extended period of time to master and implement, in the long run it will be more efficient for adding new models and integrating the PMP information with other resources.
- Slider bars have been removed and input values can now be typed in or changed using the Spinner buttons.
- References for each model, where available, now appear prominently in an output box. Hyperlinks allow direct Internet access to the PDF file of the publication for defining model experimental design and for documentation.
- Multiple copies of a single model / microorganism can be open simultaneously for direct comparison under different conditions.
- Predictions can be made with or without a lag phase. There have been a number of requests for this feature, particularly for estimating worst-case scenarios and for calculating bacterial growth under fluctuating temperatures.
