Magnetic resonance techniques are developed and implemented for the elucidation of physicochemical structures, biological and chemical reactions, and biochemical processes in whole tissues. Technical expertise is provided to facilitate the development of collaborative investigations with ERRC's scientists and engineers. Currently, the group has a Varian Gemini 200 NMR spectrometer along with a Varian Unity Plus 400 NMR spectrometer. The Unity Plus nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer is equipped with gradients, a 5 mm broadband probe, a 10 mm broadband probe and a 5 mm PFG inverse detection probe. Additionally, the center has recently purchased a gradient MAS nanoprobe. This probe will enable researchers to more closely investigate samples with limited availability such as natural products, metabolites and compounds associated with biological applications.
