Mission
ERRC conducts high-quality, applied and developmental research on a broad spectrum of commodities and challenges facing the American agriculture. Our major research and development thrusts include:
• Advanced processing technologies for utilization of dairy and specialty crops by-products
• Bioactive ingredients, functional foods, and the impact of diet on the gut microbiome and human health
• Biofertilizer and agricultural practices for soil health and enhancing crop yield and nutrition
• Biofuels and biobased products to expand markets for U.S. agricultural products
• Development of methodologies to detect, characterize, quantify, and mitigate chemical and microbial contaminants affecting the food U.S. Food supply
