I am a molecular biologist for the USDA-ARS Plant Genetic Resources Unit, and my primary goal is to characterize the diversity among the apple, grape, and tart cherry collections. I am currently evaluating tart cherry chemistry and quality by quantifying traits such as titratable acidity, phenolic concentrations, total soluble solids, size, color, and phenology.
