ELECTRICAL POWER and POTABLE WATER FAILURE


In Case of Electric Power Outage


  1. If working with chemicals under the fume hood:

    • cap the container

    • close the hood sash

    • contact your supervisor or the person currently directing work in the laboratory

    • Exit the building

  2. Emergency lighting will illuminate the exit paths during a power outage


      3. In Case of Potable Water Failure


      In event of potable water outage, emergency eyewash and emergency shower stations will not function. Cease using hazardous chemicals immediately and exit the building
