Jesse and Janet Anderson's Cattle

Cows on the Jesse and Janet Anderson Farm (probably about 1948).  The barn is still on the farm in 2006 (see insert picture).  The Anderson's milked 12 to 20 cows until 1953, when sons Glen and his brother went into the Air Force.  The calves were fed milk by hand after they were a couple of days old. They would come running when Glen came to give them their bottles. They were kept about 3 months to be sold as veal (at about 300 pounds of weight).
