At the time of Dr. John Milner's sudden passing in 2013, he was the Center Director at USDA's Beltsville Human Nutrition Research Center. In order to honor his memory and recognize his contributions to the discipline of nutrition, the Beltsville Human Nutrition Research Center is pleased to announce the establishment the John A. Milner Lectureship.


To inaugurate this Lectureship, a one-day symposium will be held June 12, 2014 in the USDA's Jefferson Auditorium, Washington, DC. Noted speakers will give presentations that focus on scientific areas that were important to Dr. Milner's ideas of nutrition research today and his vision for the future. Speakers and topics include:
