New Issue of ARS Food and Nutrition Research Briefs

Evidence that so-called "fast carbs"—those that cause rapid spikes and plunges in blood sugar levels—could be a risk factor for age-related vision loss is among the recent nutrition and health findings noted in the newest issue of the Agricultural Research Service's (ARS) Food and Nutrition Research Briefs and its Spanish-language version, Informe de investigaciones de alimentos y nutrición.

The popular online newsletter reports discoveries from researchers at ARS laboratories nationwide. Among other findings, the current issue reports that:
