Mission:To conduct fundamental and developmental research on production technologies, diseases, pests, and abiotic stresses for the greenhouse ornamental industry while safeguarding environmental quality, food, and worker safety. To transfer that technology to the industry through partnerships with state extension service and direct stakeholder interactions.

Our laboratories are on the University of Toledo's main campus.  We work closely with the Plant Science Research Center,the Department of Biological Sciences, and Department of Environmental Sciences in the Bowman Oddy/ Wolfe Hall complex.  We also work with the College of Engineering.
 
The Toledo Research Group uses its space at the Toledo Botanical Gardens to grow many of its plants.
 
Cooperating with stake holders has been extensive.  The group works with the Maumee Growers Association, Ohio State Extension, Michigan State Extension, Purdue University Extension, and the Center for Innovative Food Technology.
