|Development of alternatives to insecticide dips for Japanese beetle quarantine procedures|
The objectives of this research are to develop techniques that
This research involves testing various application techniques for the control of Japanese beetle grubs in pre- and post-harvest plants, including dipping, drenching, and chemigation.
In addition, we are testing reduced-risk insecticides and natural plant-derived materials to determine their efficacy against Japanese beetle grubs.
This research is being conducted in commercial nurseries in collaboration with Jason Oliver, Tennessee State University, McMinnville, TN.
