GPRG Staff Changes

In the last year and a half, the GPRG has seen some significant personnel changes.  Never the less, we were able to still carry out regular duties despite the decrease in numbers.  Recently we said farewell to Russell (Russ) Friedrich and welcomed Adam Hall.

Russ joined us four years ago as a Biological Science Technician after completing his M.S. in Biology at the University of Toledo.  During his tenure with us in Toledo, he was vital in the upkeep of the analytical section of the lab, digesting and prepping samples for elemental analyses.  Russ also conducted greenhouse trials pertaining to silicon uptake and accumulation in various crops. He has transferred to the USDA-ARS Application Technology Research Unit in Wooster, OH as a Biological Science Technician. Russ's last day was January 16th, and he was treated to lunch by the group.  Russ will be missed and the team wishes Russ and his wife Lindsey all the best in their career endeavors.

Adam Hall, a Navy veteran, has joined the group as an Information Technology Specialist.  He comes to the GPRG from the Social Security Administration where he was a claims representative/Webmaster/site LAN coordinator.  His first day was May 5th, and he will work on the continued development of the award winning software Virtual Grower as well as support the group's information technology needs.   We are delighted to have Adam join the team and we hope his time here will be a significant contribution to his career as he learns about the floriculture industry.
