Dr. Jennifer Boldt officially joined our team on October 21, 2013. She holds a B.S. in Environmental Horticulture, a M.S. in Horticultural Science, both from the University of Florida, and a Ph.D. in Applied Plant Sciences from the University of Minnesota. She brings with her over 20 years of commercial greenhouse production, garden trial management, and research experience.
Her research has focused on cultivar evaluations, greenhouse production and landscape performance of annual bedding plants, and most recently, plant photosynthetic responses to light, temperature, and CO2, and the function and physiology of foliar anthocyanins. Throughout her career, she has been passionate about conveying useful information to growers to implement into their production methods.
Dr. Boldt looks forward to a collaborative approach in conducting fundamental and applied research that will allow us to advance our understanding of plant response to stress and achieving the overall research goals of the team.
The GPRG is pleased to welcome and have her as a part of our team and hopes that her research contributions will add impact to the GPRG both locally and nationally.
