Dr. Matteri, the USDA-ARS Midwest Area Director visited Ohio March 17th to 22nd. His visit started in Columbus and Wooster where he visited the Soil Drainage, Corn, Soybean and Wheat Quality, and Application Technology Research Units, met with staff, attended various meetings, and toured the different research facilities. The final stop for his Ohio visit was at the Greenhouse Production Research Group (GPRG) in Toledo.
On his two day visit he had a chance to meet the GPRG laboratory staff, learn about some of the projects that have been done and are currently being worked on, future plans, and tour the greenhouses on the University of Toledo campus and at the Toledo Botanical Gardens. While in Toledo he also met with Congresswoman Kaptur, University of Toledo officials, and local growers.
