Human Resources Assistant (Office Automation)
Biography and Research
Megan Buttrum has been a Physical Science Technician at NCAUR, USDA-ARS, Peoria, IL since 2016. Megan received her B.S. in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Bradley University. Megan works with Dr. Atanu Biswas and a team of scientists conducting research on green chemistry, polysaccharides, and vegetable oils. This research focuses on the chemical and enzymatic, microwave-assisted modifications of renewable resources (i.e. starch, protein, and bio-oils) to produce value-added commercial products.
