Research Chemist
Biography and Research
Dr. Gordon Selling has been a Research Chemist at NCAUR, USDA-ARS, Peoria, IL since 2003. He received his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Illinois. Dr. Selling is a member of a team of scientists that conducts research on developing high value industrial products using lower value proteins from new and current plants. Dr. Selling also conducts research on producing inexpensive high value products using amylose inclusion complexes to replace petroleum based materials, such as emulsifiers, pesticides, surface modifiers, and polymer blends.
