Physical Science Technician
Biography and Research
Ashley Maness has been a Physical Science Technician at NCAUR, USDA-ARS, Peoria, IL since 2004. She received her B.S. in Biochemistry with a minor in Business from Bradley University. Ashley works with Dr. Veera Boddu and a team of scientists conducting research on the treatment of agricultural runoff water with activated carbon made from renewable resources. The goal of this research is to absorb any contaminants (i.e. pesticides, etc.) before the water reaches streams, rivers, and oceans.
