Fred Eller has been actively involved in scientific research for over 30 years.  His current research interests are focused on the use of critical fluid technology for the extraction, fractionation and processing of agricultural materials.  He is especially interested in supercritical and liquid carbon dioxide extractions, pressurized solvent extractions and counter-current critical fluid fractionations. 

He is recognized as an international authority in the field of supercritical and liquid carbon dioxide extractions, fat analyses as well as the isolation and identification of bioactive natural products.  He has authored or co-authored over 60 publications, is first inventor on two United States Patents and has made over 30 presentations at international and national meetings.
