Terry Whitehead serves as Lead Scientist for the NP214 (Utilization of Manure and Other Agricultural and Industrial Byproducts) project entitled "Understanding the Role of Commensal Anaerobic Bacteria in Odor, Emissions, and Antibiotic Resistance from Stored Livestock Manure."
Microbial ecology of swine gastrointestinal tract, feces, and stored manure.
Development of methods to reduce production of odor and gaseous emissions from stored swine manure.
Analyses of antibiotic resistance in swine GI tract and stored manure and impact on human health and food safety.
