Biography and Research
Badal Saha – Research Chemist
Badal Saha has worked as a Research Chemist at ARS since 1995. He received his B.Sc (Hons) and M.Sc in Biochemistry from Dhaka University, Post graduate Diploma in Microbiology and Biotechnology from Osaka University, and M.S. and Ph.D. in Microbial Technology from Kyushu University. He conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Maryland. Dr. Saha’s current research focuses on developing microorganisms and fermentation process technologies for efficient production of value-added platform chemicals from agricultural residues. He uses chemical, biochemical and microbiological approaches in his research.
