Daniel A. Knetzer works with Dr. Zengshe Liu (Kevin) on polymer chemistry and oleochemistry as they relate to chemical modification of lipids for industrial applications, in the Bio-Oils Research Unit at the USDA National Center for Agricultural Utilization Research Unit, at Peoria, IL. He is from the Southern reaches of Illinois and received a Bachelor’s of Science in Chemistry from Bradley University. While attending Bradley he served the community with his EMT B license then gained his medication endorsement when he moved to his adopted rural community. In 1997 he began part-time employment at NCAUR and later gained a full time career upon the completion of his degree.
