Potato germplasm is a precious international treasure which must be protected and utilized as effectively as possible.

The USPG and its sister genebanks around the world have recognized that this can best be done through intergenebank collaboration. Thus, the Association of Potato Intergenebank Collaborators (APIC) have produced a global inventory of wild potato genetic resources that is available on the internet.
