Two meetings focusing on the control of BVDV in the
One will be the 4th U.S. BVDV Symposium. The fourth symposium is entitled "BVDV Variability: Impact on Virulence,
The Symposium will be followed by a meeting, beginning at 1:00 pm on Jan. 27, entitled "Integrated BVD Control Plans for Beef Operations". This meeting is geared toward producers, extension veterinarians and practitioners interested in implementation of BVDV control strategies. This meeting will start at 1:00 pm on Jan. 27.

BVDV Variability: Impact on Virulence, Host Range and Control
Jan. 25-27, 2009
The meeting would begin 25th with a mixer/social that evening and continue with research presentations on the 26th and 27th ending at noon on the 27th. The Symposium will include both oral presentations and a poster session. All research scientists, veterinarians, laboratory diagnosticians and others with an interest in the control and eradication of BVDV are encouraged to attend.

This meeting addresses the practical application of BVDV control measures as they apply to the
CE PROGRAM ANNOUNCEMENT The American Association of Veterinary State Boards RACE (Registry of Approved Continuing Education) The 2009 BVDV Symposium Program has been approved for 13 hours of continuing education credit in jurisdictions which recognize AAVSB RACE approval for veterinarians and veterinary technicians; however participants should be aware that some boards have limitations on the number of hours accepted in certain categories and/or restrictions on certain methods of delivery of continuing education. The Continuing Education sign-up sheets for participating veterinarians and veterinary technicians are available at the registration table. Your Continuing Education Certificate of Attendance will be mailed to you upon the completion of the course. If you have any questions please direct them to Dr. Ellis.
