OTHER INFORMATION: This hop, originally developed and released in South Africa, was discontinued in that country in 1964 because of decreasing yields. The selection was obtained from Cashmere, India in 1977, where it is still grown commercially. Like other Clusters, Hybrid-2 is susceptible to Downy Mildew but infected crowns generally do not die out in contrast to Cluster hops.
